The protein composition of hemp seeds is quite unique, with 65% of all proteins being globular proteins, which have a similar composition to the protein in the plasma of our body. Hemp seeds are rich in unsaturated fatty acids, predominantly omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids. Specifically, shelled hemp seeds by Be Hempy contain omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which contributes to the maintenance of normal cholesterol levels in the blood. The beneficial effect is achieved with the intake of two grams of ALA per day.
